The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania and Bucharest Municipality is a non-governmental, public-interest, self-sufficient organisation meant to promote Romanian trade and industries both at home and abroad, and to defend the interests of Romanian traders before the domestic authorities and in their relations with specialised foreign organisations.
CCIR provides support and promotion for the benefit of businesses in the field of industry, agriculture, trade, tourism and services:
-- Business consulting;
-- Assistance to company formation and operation, including Trade Registry activity;
-- Promotion of business contacts:
- -- bilateral and multilateral business partnerships;
- -- organisation of fairs, exhibitions and commercial events at home and abroad;
- -- organisation of Romanian business missions abroad;
- -- organisation of foreign business missions to Romania;
- -- advertising and commercial promotion;
- -- charts of top companies;
Other services offered by CCIR include:
-- High-standard distribution of products and services;
-- Basic information and co-operation in local development problems;
-- Expert assistance in matters of commercial law and arbitration of business disputes.
Representation and protection of the Romanian business community's interests in relation to policy-making bodies at local and national level:
Reception of signals from businesses with regard to regulations in force and initiation of new legislative norms and regulations;
All these goal-missions are developed by a wide range of specific forms and methods drawing on the national and international experience of chambers of commerce, with the contribution of the departments and offices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania and Bucharest, as well as of the commercial companies in which the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania and Bucharest holds the controlling interest.
